Changcheng Cable WOrks, Jiangsu an enterprise authorised both by the Ministry of  Machine Building industry and the Ministry of Electric Power industry and a member of the China Petrochemical Group, occupies an area of 61 370 sq meters, of which 25 400 sq meters are building area. The factory has a staff of nearly 470 people, of Which 73 people are professional technical personnel, and a wholly owned assets of Y 41.70 millionn. It has also 253 sets of advanced and complete manufacturing facilitions and test apparatus. The principal products include fixture cable, control cable, power cable. computer cable, low voltage XLPE cable, risisting and flame retardant cable, compensation cable, high temperature cable, indrinsically-safe explosion-Proof cable and low smoke low halogen (halogen-free)cable. These cables are widely used in power plant power stations substation, petrochemical industry metallurgical industry etc.All cables Produced passed the inspection by the China National Testing and Inspection Station for wire & Cable. As earIy as in 1990. Changcheng Cable Works began to employ IEC standards to produce which passed the reception test of the related IEC standards. in 1997, the factory was granted the Certification of ISO 9O02 for its quality system. The factory passed the quality appraisal by Ministry for Electric Power industry for its control cable, power cable and computer cable. It won a gold medal of the 1995 China Fair for High and New Technology products for its new flame retardant cable and won a gold medal of the 1996 China Fair for Patented and High & New Technology Products for its new computer cable. The flame retardant XLPE insulated shielded computer cable Produced by the factory filled a blank in the catalogue of the home-made cables.
